New Moon

Death Cab For Cutie - Meet Me On The Equinox
Band Of Skulls
- Friends

Thom Yorke - Hearing Damage
Lykke Li
- Possibility

The Killers
- A White Demon Love Song

Anya Marina - Satellite Heart
Muse - I Belong To You (New Moon Remix)
Bon Iver and St. Vincent
- Rosyln

Black Rebel Motorcycle Club
- Done All Wrong

Hurricane Bells - Monster"
Sea Wolf - The Violet Hour
Ok Go
- Shooting The Moon

Grizzly Bear Feat. Victoria Legrand (Beach House)
- Slow Life

Editors - No Sound But The Wind
Alexandre Desplat - New Moon (The Meadow)

153. Do you work in "spurts", being relatively inactive and then furiously active for a day or two?

"Volcano Choir: not that different from Bon Iver! No, just kidding, this is pretty out there in comparison to For Emma, Forever Ago. Justin Vernon’s collaboration with Collections of Colonies of Bees follows the same “torn-down-by-the-world-but-I’m-still-optimistic” road that Vernon has made a mega-career out of, but more inclined to branch off into warm electronic side streets. Has dude been listening to a lot of Prefuse 73? Maybe. But maybe he just got tired of people freaking out about how he chopped his own wood in the forest. Now we can all get super into how he programmed his own songs in ProTools! So rustic."

Cabana de Praia

In your heart of chambers
where you sit
with your picture books
and your ancient wit
In that nook I found you
so old and tired
would you be the one to carry me?
I'd like to be someone
you could finally learn to love again

Made our iron bed side
cold as graves
so we stoke the organs
that may comfort grace
and they conjured spirits
to make you smile
would you be my long time baby?

I'd like to be someone
you could finally learn to
breathe
at our sides
let's take the time
to mend these smiles
to get them
could make it home
love is surprises
live our own lives

In our beds we're the lucky ones
filled with the sun
In our beds we're the lucky ones
fill us with the sun

O cheiro...

"...Woods created a distinctive blend of spooky campfire folk, lo-fi rock, homemade tape collages, and other noisy interludes, all anchored by deceptively sturdy melodies...Songs of Shame has that almost subliminal ability to make one want to move in to listen more closely. And once you've been drawn in for a good listen, it becomes difficult not to want to come back for many more."

Volcano Choir

Volcano Choir, o projecto paralelo de Justin Vernon dos Bon Iver, e dos seus conterrâneos Collections of Colonies of Bees, vão finalmente editar um album.
Unmap sai a 22 de Setembro!

Unmap ultimately came together over a weekend in November 2008 in Fall Creek, Wisconsin, at Justin and brother Nate Vernon's recording studio. And while it is at its heart a record about the allure of being with people you need and making something with them, it is also a document created by musicians with rare gifts getting together to exorcise their ideas about beauty. This scaffolding of loops and off grid tempos for choral style vocals offers a state of continual surprise, call it unexpectation.

Titus Andronicus

Upon Viewing Bruegel's "Landscape With The Fall Of Icarus"

"Even now I curse the day, and yet, I think,
Few come within the compass of my curse,
Where in I did not some notorious ill:
As kill a man, or else devise his death;
Ravish a maid, or plot the way to do it;
Accuse some innocent, and forswear myself;
Set deadly enmity between two friends;
Make poor men's cattle break their necks;
Set fire on barns and hay-stacks in the night,
And bid the owners quench them with their tears,
Oft have I digged up dead men from their graves,
And set them upright at their dear friends doors,
Even when their sorrows almost were forgot;
And on their skins, as on the bark of trees,
Have with my knife carved in Roman letters,
Let not your sorrow die, though I am dead.
Tut! I have done a thousand dreadful things
As willingly as one would kill a fly,
And nothing grieves me heartily indeed
But that I cannot do ten thousand more."

William Shakespeare, Titus Andronicus

O Estrangeiro

Titus Andronicus
Albert Camus

Running around this run-down, one-horse town.
One of these days, they're gonna crucify me.
How weary, stale, flat and unprofitable it is to be young, dumb,
and have lots of money.
We will sit upon this grassy knoll,
holding hands and stroking handguns, with pristine souls,
and even my own mother will tell you I am an asshole,
but underneath it all, there is an apathetic heart of gold.

So who will be saved, from the least to the greatest men?
Because even Honest Abe sold poison milk to schoolchildren.

The blood drive came to Glen Rock High
in a white bus with red letters on the side
and a long shiny needle they brought to suck me dry
like missionary mosquitoes in the sky.
Now you're doing time for stealing candy from a babe
because all the kids in Ridgewood have got cell phones these days
and if you wear a mask, they can still read your license plate
and a wireless line is a terrible thing to waste.

Because the more we think, the less it all makes sense,
tonight we will drink to our general indifference.

Lamb of God, we think nothing of ourselves at all.
So, Death, be not proud because we don't give a fuck about nothing
and we only want what we are not allowed.

"And I, too, felt ready to start life all over again. It was as if that great rush of anger had washed me clean, emptied me of hope, and, gazing up at the dark sky spangled with its signs and stars, for the first time, the first, I laid my heart open to the benign indifference of the universe. To feel it so like myself, indeed, so brotherly, made me realize that I’d been happy, and that I was happy still. For all to be accomplished, for me to feel less lonely, all that remained to hope was that on the day of my execution there should be a huge crowd of spectators and that they should greet me with howls of execration."
O Estrangeiro, Albert Camus

A Santa Epifania

we filled our pockets with dry leaves,
made leafy pillows and lay down

beneath the cinnamon tree.

we staired up at the sun with our eyes closed

and saw the dust in the air turn into fireflies.

we lay with the day.

the wind snuck into the cracks of our sleeves,
and played songs in our ears.

I used to watch you sleeping...

Dark Night of the Soul

The Shins), Wayne Coyne (The Flaming Lips), Gruff Rhys (Super Furry Animals), Jason Lytle (Grandaddy), Julian Casablancas (The Strokes), Frank Black (Pixies), Iggy Pop, Nina Persson (The Cardigans), Suzanne Vega, Vic hesnutt.

Andrew Bird | 26 Maio 2009 | Theatro Circo

Ano Zero

I can't sleep when I think about the times we're living in
I can't sleep when I think about the future I was born into
Outsiders dressed up like Sunday morning
With no Berlin wall what the hell you gonna do

It's a new year, I'm glad to be here
It's a fresh spring, so let's sing
In 2080 I'll surely be dead
So don't look ahead, ever look ahead
It's a new year, I'm glad to be here
It's a fresh spring, so let's sing
And the moon shines bright on the water tonight
So we won't drown in the summer sound

If you find me I'll be sitting by the water fountain
Picket signs, letdowns, meltdown on Monday morning
But it's alright, it's alright, it's alright, it's alright
It's alright
Cause in no time, they'll be gone, I guess I'll still be standing here

It's a new year, I'm glad to be here
It's a fresh spring, so let's sing
In 2080 I'll surely be dead
So don't look ahead, ever look ahead
It's a new year, I'm glad to be here
It's a fresh spring, so let's sing
And the moon shines bright on the water tonight
So we won't drown in the summer sound

Yeah, yeah, we can all grab at the chance to be handsome farmers
Yeah you can have twenty-one sons and be blood when they marry my daughters
And the pain that we left at the station will stay in a jar behind us
We can pickle the pain into blue ribbon winners at county contests

It's a new year, I'm glad to be here
It's a fresh spring, so let's sing
In 2080 I'll surely be dead
So don't look ahead, ever look ahead
It's a new year, I'm glad to be here
It's a fresh spring, so let's sing
And the moon shines bright on the water tonight
So we won't drown in the summer sound

Yeah, yeah, we can all grab at the chance to be handsome farmers

As asas empilhadas na corda

we're safe when love looked over

you read my mind so many times

the earth is always sand

fucked up puked up many times

and resolve to stand around in circles....

....jesus ....

their running their engine

just like you ought to be

to me, my heart.

could i wait until dawn

my body...long lift one line.

big red machine.

that's all i've learned: to suffer.
